Welcome to my website. Here you will find many helpful pieces of information and will be kept abreast of what is happening in our classes.
I have been teaching at Hembree Springs for 15 years. I have taught fourth and fifth grades here at Hembree Springs. My undergraduate degree is in marketing management from Miami University in Ohio, and I have my master’s degree in Education from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. My husband, Gregory, my two married daughters, and my granddaughters live close by which has been a blessing during this pandemic. I got to host Nana camp with the until school started. Reading is my passion as well as walking, and HGTV.
I have taught at other schools in New York and New Jersey. My family traveled during my childhood (military father), so home to me is wherever my suitcase resides. My husband and I enjoy spending time together with family. We transplanted to Georgia in 2002, and we love it so much that we call it home now.
I know the end of last year and this summer have been a new and maybe not so wonderful experience for us all. I really wish we could be together as in the past, but we will be a loving and learning community! I look forward to meeting all of you "virtually" and (hopefully soon) in person. I'm excited to begin teaching your child. My hope is that your child will feel at home in our "classroom" and will grow to love learning. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. We are traveling this path together as partners to ensure the success of your child.
Love,
Ms. Walker
